Last month, I was interviewed by Josiah Daniels, an associate opinion editor at Sojourners. Along with Mitchell Atencio, Josiah writes The Reconstruct newsletter. The weekly newsletter features conversations with different people “who have faith in a new future and are working toward repair.”

Our conversation was published last week. I talked with Josiah about writing my first book, Birth of A Movement: Black Lives Matter and the Catholic Church, writing about the Bronx, Catholicism, and what religion means to me.
